Spring refresh: 5 pieces for your wardrobe

Updating your spring wardrobe does not mean to spend as much money as for a holiday, but on the contrary. I have chosen for you six key-pieces that will quickly transform your spring outfits. You will be able to wear them in your first city break of this year!

A classic trench

No other clothing item announces the beginning of spring like the trench does. Now it’s the time to quit the winter coat or the puffy jacket and wear a trench. The most versatile option are beige shades, however, if it does not match your style or your tastes, choose a pastel model. Make sure to go for a waterproof trench (in the end, that’s its role – to protect you during the rainy days!), but also made from a fabric that does not wrinkle easily. The most elegant length is midi, knee length. The short trenches have a more casual-sport aspect, therefore are only suitable for weekend outfits. For a more stylish look, match the beige trench to a striped t-shirt and red accessories.

A day dress

Essential for the spring wardrobe, the knee length dresses are some little stylish jewels. Look for a model made from a fluid material, maybe a printed one, with chic and feminine details: flounce sleeves, a neck bow, a fine belt. If you go for a darker shade, you can wear it with black tights and ankle shoes, but also without tights, with heels, when the weather gets warmer.

A pair of red or pink shoes

Spring is on the horizon, but the weather is still requiring a few weeks of patience until you will be able to wear sandals. Therefore, for now, you can add some color to your outfits by completing them with a pair of red or pink shoes. 5-6 cm Kitten heels, high and fine heels, thick, solid heels or even shoes with flat sporty sole: choose depending on your comfort level. All these make a good team with denim pieces or blue or light blue shades, very trendy this spring.

A light jumper

This transition period encourages you to wear fine, light, knitwear. A fine pullover with long rolled collar will match perfectly a pencil skirt; a light pullover, with torsades goes well with cigarette trousers and pleated skirts. Avoid choosing another black knitwear, just like you had worn the entire winter season. Choose more lively colours, such as: emerald green, intense pink, yellow, lavender…

An asymmetric skirt

It is one of the easiest to wear spring 2018 trends, and luckily, it is suitable for all ages! Are you not sure of how to wear this kind of skirt? Try with a sweater adjusted on your body and a pair of high heels, for a more elegant day look. On the opposite side, match this asymmetric skirt with thick sole sneakers and a long jumper for a cool weekend outfit.
